Addressing a cadres´ orientation at Khanna garment of Lalitpur on Tuesday, Chairman Dahal said the UCPN-Maoist was fully committed to making the CA election successful. [break]
"No political forces can shy away from elections," he said, expressing hope that even the dissenting political parties would finally join the elections.
He argued that his party became unnecessarily flexible in the name of agreement in the last CA. According to him, his party would not engage in consensus efforts for more than five months in constitution making. Another process as voting would initiate for constitution writing then, he added.
"The reason behind UCPN-Maoist´s performance in CA election entirely depends on party´s internal politics," he said, urging the cadres to reach every voter´s door.
Venting his ire over the ongoing investigation on murder of Krishna Adhikari and fast-onto-death strike of his parents, Chairman Dahal asked government, "Why don´t you arrest me and Dr Baburam Bhattarai in stead of our cadres? If the case is filed against our cadres, our party would not remain silent."
On the occasion, leader Dr Bhattarai claimed that his party has effective social, political and economic agenda than other parties have.
Another leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha said it was time to fully engage in election rather than entangling with internal disputes.
