Curfew in Manma

KALIKOT, June 14: The Kalikot district administration office imposed an indefinite curfew in the district headquarters, Manma, after tension erupted there due to clashed between UML and Maoist cadres. Several persons were injured in the clashes that occurred between the UCPN-Maoist and Youth Force in Manma.
The clashes broke out after the Youth Force defied the Veri-Karnali banda called by the Maoists. According to the police, at least seven Maoists and six UML activists were injured in the clashes. Among the injured is CPN-UML district secretary Kurma Jung Shahi.

Police fired four tear gas shells to contain the situation.
