The cadres of CPN-Maoist have warned against collecting and updating the voter list, said District Returning Office, Kailali.[break]
The Maoist cadres had also disrupted the voters’ registration and updating work at Chuha VDC of the district few days ago.
The voter lists updating process has now remains obstructed due to the opposition of the Maoist cadres in different parts of the district.
In some areas, however, the act is being carried out under police protection.
The CPN-Maoist has been obstructing the process leading up to the proposed CA Elections in protest against the formation of the election government under leadership of Chief Justice Khil Raj Regmi.
So far, it remains committed to its announcement of boycotting the upcoming elections to the Constituent Assembly.
