Organizing a press meet in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Subash Pradhan, the director of the tournament and chief executive officer of Kanchanjunga International, said that around 28 corporate teams will take part in the event to be played for five overs per innings. Every team must have five men and a women player. The tournament will be played in round robin league format.As per the rules of the tournament, no ball and wide ball will carry two runs, while a run from woman player will be counted double.
Pradhan informed that the event is being organized to lure the corporate sector for their involvement in development of cricket.
"We are organizing the event to involve the corporate houses in cricket so that they will help in the development of cricket in future," said Pradhan, a former national cricketer.
The participating teams will have to pay Rs 50,000 for registration, according to the host.
Similarly, event co-ordinator Smrita Karki informed that the event will not be just cricket but also be a part of entertainment.
"It is not just the game but also an entertainment as there will be entertainment programs along with cricket matches," said Karki.
