“The Vice President´s refusal to take oath of office in Nepali has put the country in trouble. The government is seeking ways to find its outlet," the prime minister said. "I have also heard that he is still hoisting national flags at his residence. Legal alternatives are being sought to resolve the problem." The apex court´s order to Vice President Jha to take fresh oath in Nepali within a week expired on Sunday.
Prime Minister Nepal said that he was seeking ways to find a solution on the basis of consensus. "I have suggested legal experts to come up with solution that is agreeable to all parties. I have also continuously engaged myself in legal consultations," he said. Prime minister also claimed that the issue of vice president does not pose a threat to the CPN-UML led coalition. He said that the oath row had become complicated as the Maoists´ did not let the House run smoothly.
