Urging all the political parties to unite for constitution building, leader Koirala, in a press conference organized by the Nepal Press Union Ilam Friday morning, further appealed with the political parties to complete the ongoing peace process in Nepal.
Leader Koirala, who is also a former Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, called on the agitating opposition bloc to sit for a dialogue to forge a consensus. "Let's find out an outlet through consensus and talks as we cannot hold on more for the sake of consensus ," said Koirala adding that the incumbent CA assembly will be issuing the constitution through two third of majority if UCPN (Maoist) does not come for talks.
Leader Koirala informed the media persons that she was going to run for the position of party's president in the upcoming 13th General Assembly of the Nepali Congress, thereby, promoting female leadership within the party.
She was of the belief that the impending General Assembly of the NC will adopt the policy of inclusivity for women and physically challenged ones.
Speaking on a different note, Leader Koirala argued that a provision for life imprisonment in the country would help prevent the increasing rate of rape cases. RSS
