Speaking at an interaction in the capital on Sunday, he said the alliance of three major political parties - UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN-UML can not resolve the country’s problems adding that nexus between the three parties is not a national consensus.

Gachchhadar who is also the chairman of the Madhesi People´s Rights Forum (Democratic) said that the three parties cannot pick a prime ministerial candidate though the candidate was acceptable to all.

He informed that consensus has been forged with the Election Commission (EC) for voter’s identity card adding that a Nepali is entitled to a get a voters’ list.

The DPM stated that completion of the ongoing peace process and the constitution writing is impossible by sidelining the Madhes-based political parties.

Gachchhadar opined that the NC should withdraw its prime ministerial candidacy only after forging consensus for the completion of the peace process, constitution writing and leadership for the new government.
