Presenting his paper Nishchal N. Pandey, Director of Centre for South Asian Studies said that an alternate border imaginary is necessary in South Asia whereby instead of being spaces of security problems, borders become a hub of economic activity, and a gateway of cooperation among countries.
Director of the IAS Peter D’ Souza, Prof. Varun Sahni of the Jawaharlal Nehru University among others also presented papers on the borders of India with each of the SAARC countries.
