Asus is one of a few notebook manufacturers that have their own laptops range - from the small Eee PC that started the netbook trend to large and powerful desktop replacements and hordes of other models in between. [break]
The popularity of Asus laptops is increasing at a very past pace in Nepal. Amit Saraf, director of Nagmani International -- the authorized dealer for Asus laptops in Nepal - said Asus currently enjoys a market share of 10 percent in netbooks and notebooks in the domestic market.
"Asus laptops are becoming popular in Nepal market due to its advanced features and also because it is the first company to provide two-year warranty on its laptops," Saraf added.
Asus netbooks are gaining popularity particularly due to the convenient and high-speed access to internet in a small and travel-friendly design. With features such as longer battery life, shockproof data storage and high portability, Asus netbooks are the ultimate solution for computing on the go.
Asus netbooks such as Eee PC 1005P and Eee PC 1201T are better known for longer battery life.
Asus Eee PC 1005P with 10.2 inch vibrantview TFT display has 1GB RAM (expandable up to 2GB) and gives 8.5 hours of battery backup. It is priced Rs 39,500 inclusive of VAT. Similarly, the Asus Eee PC 1201T with 12.1 inch TFT display features 2GB RAM and a 1.6 GHz AMD Neo processor.
It wasn´t that long ago that one had to spend at least a grand to get a lightweight notebook with discrete graphics. But the price has significantly come down after Aus introduced its K40 model laptops. Asus K40IJ features an attractive design, strong Wi-Fi performance and a generous two-year warranty.
Asus also has latest technology laptops that now come in a sleek and lightweight design and allows professionals to stay on the move with style. Ideal for traveling and outdoor activities, Asus´ innovative lightweight laptops are packed with impressive features that enable breakthrough mobile performance.
"Ultra thin Asus laptops that have better battery backup are enjoying wide popularity in the market," added Saraf.
Asus Eee PC 1201T and Eee PC 1005P are the ultra thin laptops, with thickness less than an inch, being sold by Nagmani.
