Min Rokaya, 58, chairman of Kishan Madhyabarti Samudayik Ban who was missing since Thursday was found dead. [break]
His body was recovered from a forested area of Rampurbilasipur VDC. There were severe injuries in various parts of the body.
Family members alleged the involvement of forest encroachers in the murder.
It has been learnt that there was a dispute between the community forest officials and locals over the afforestation program and arrangement of human settlements near the forest area.
The body has been taken to district headquarters for postmortem.
