KATHMANDU, Jan 30: Cold waves in various areas of the Terai region, including Janakpurdham in Madhesh Province, have affected normal life.
Temperature in the Janakpur region has dropped due to cold winds. Normal life has been badly affected by the extreme cold and lack of sunshine.
Daily wage-earners and laborers have been hit hard. Locals say that the thick fog clears up only in the afternoon.
The poor and the underprivileged are facing many problems due to the cold. According to locals, children are especially affected by the current weather which is expected to improve in the coming days.
Due to the thick fog and mist, flights to and from Janakpur have been halted.
