CoAS expresses gratitude for Pakistani army

KATHMANDU, May 3: Chief of Nepal Army Gaurav SJB Rana has expressed his gratitude for whole hearted support extended by Pakistan and Pakistan army during recent earthquake in Nepal.

The army chief visited Pakistan Army Field Hospital today and met Pakistani relief workers. Rana appreciated their efforts to provide solace to the earthquake victims in Nepal.

Pakistan Army field hospital at Bakhtapur is main source of receiving medical aid for the earthquake affected people of Nepal. Pakistan's Urban Search and Rescue teams are also round the clock busy in rescue work, a press statement issued by the Embassy of Pakistan in Nepal said on Sunday.

Earlier Ms. Valerie Amos, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator alongwith Mr.Christos Stylianides, European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management also visited Pakistan Army feild hospital in Bhaktapur, Nepal.
