KATHMANDU, Mar 1: Partial influence of a westerly low-pressure system is present in the country, and the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has stated that the hilly regions of the country, including Sudurpashchim and Karnali provinces, are generally to mostly cloudy.
Additionally, light rain with thunder and lightning is occurring in some areas of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Gandaki, and Bagmati provinces.
According to the MFD, the weather in the hilly regions of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces will be partly to generally cloudy this afternoon, while the rest of the country will experience clear weather. There is also a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in some parts of the hilly regions of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces. Furthermore, light snowfall is possible in some parts of the high hilly and mountainous regions.
According to the MFD, tonight, the hilly regions of the country will remain partly to generally cloudy, while the rest of the country will experience clear weather. A few places in the hilly regions of all provinces may receive light rain with thunder and lightning, and light snowfall may occur at one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous regions.
In the next 24 hours, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, while the rest of the country will have clear weather. Light rain with thunder and lightning is possible in some areas of the hilly regions of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces.
The MFD has warned that light snowfall is possible in some areas of the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country. It has urged everyone involved to remain alert, as this could affect daily life, health, agriculture, roads, and air travel.
