The government has started to celebrate the Day from 2061 BS.The morning rally organized by the Ministry of General Administration started from Ratnapark and ended by reaching at the Ministry after going through Bagbazaar, Putalisadak, Singha Durbar Baidhyakhana and Anamnagar.[break]
On the occasion, Chief Secretary and Chairman of the Civil Service Day-2069 BS Main Organizing Committee, Lilamani Paudel, said that he has given first priority to making the civil service more people-oriented.
Paudel said they are going to bring new plans for capacity building of officials of the civil service. However, at the same time, employees on contract chanted slogans saying that they should be made permanent.
Meanwhile in Kalaiya, 27 best and 10 retired employees in Bara district were honoured on the occasion of the Civil Service Day.Likewise, fruits were also distributed to patients at Kalaiya Hospital on the occasion.
Similarly, Civil Service Day was also celebrated in Rasuwa, Jhapa, Hetauda and Pokhara by organizing various programmes.
