According to a participant of the meeting held at Narayagarh’s Youth Club, Dahal asked about the situation of the party in the district and suggestions for discussion during the party’s Central Committee meeting.
Dahal also instructed the leaders to keep close ties with cadres in the area.
He is also schedule to inaugurate the 38th national assembly of Nepal Jaycees later in the day.
During the meeting, Dahal also informed that he would float a three-month package program in the upcoming Central Committee (CC) meeting due to kick off on Saturday.
The package will chiefly focus on bolstering party unity, he added.
The issues incorporated in the package, however, have not been revealed as yet. "The program will focus on integrity of the party,” said the party´s district in-charge Ghanashyam Dahal.
The Maoist chair also reaffirmed his stance that the party would not split at any cost and that there is no alternative to the present government till the peace and constitution writing processes are completed.
"The present government will continue as there is a leadership dispute in the Nepali Congress, and they would rather opt for the incumbent government than to escalate the dispute furthermore" he said.
He also cited the progress made in the peace process as one of the reasons why the present government should continue.
