How successful was the event in your opinion?
I must say I am blessed with an excellent team. The event has been extremely successful. Exhibitors, media and visitors coordinated very well. The success in my opinion is beyond our expectations. The number of visitors grew every day and exhibitors expresshed happiness. Visitors trust us as we are already a brand and people know that we are not organizing the event for vested interests.
Some visitors still complained about congestion and crowding. Do you think the event could have been more organized?
There is still a lot of room from improvement if we look at the management side. However, compared to previous years we worked a lot to make it look better and I believe we have been successful to a large extent. Number of online ticket buyers has been very positive and I am hopeful the number will grow in coming years.
Besides CAN Info-Tech, there is much CAN can do for the ICT sector. What are the constraints?
We have been trying to make a difference at the policy level so that ICT reaches the grassroots and becomes affordable to everyone. It requires time. The government should recognize the ICT sector. We have proposed to the government to declare 2013 as the ICT Year and we hope the campaign will create an environment to bring more investments in this sector and help people enhance their skills.
