District Police Office, Panchthar said that a businessman at Rabi Bazaar, Dinesh Regmi, 33, who went missing since Monday evening, was found dead in a jungle in Phuyatappa, Illam district today.
District Police Chief, DSP Krishna Prasad Koirala told Republica Online that police suspect that Regmi was shot dead as he had received deep cut in his head, adding that further investigation was underway.
The dead body was found with legs tied, according to police.
Preparation was underway to take the dead body to Mangalbare, Ilam for postmortem.
