Addressing to the 47th annual general meeting of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) in the capital today, Regmi said that though the budget has failed to fulfill the expectation of the people, it has been brought as per the need of the country for the time being.[break]
Regmi further said his government was formed under the special circumstances and added that new elections are his government’s top priority.
Expressing dissatisfaction over slow economic development in the country despite having immense natural resources, Regmi stressed on the need of accelerating the economic activities to achieve better results.
On the occasion, he also urged industrialists and businessmen to increase investments on industrial, productive sectors.
Saying that the country has failed to translate political changes into reality due to political instability, Regmi further added that time has come to address the issue to keep up with the demand of the 21st century.
