Buddha Air will operate flights to Varanasi four days a week from next month.
This means a passenger can visit Kashi of Varanasi and Pashupatinath temple of Kathmandu in a single flight. [break]
Under the special package, visitors can visit Vishwanath temple, perform holy bath, boat ride in Ganga to view Raja Harishchandra Ghat with extension visit to Bodhgaya and Ayodhya.
A press statement from Buddha Air said the starting price of the package per person per night is IRs 1,965. The package consists of accommodation, airport transfer, and one-and-half-day sight-seeing.
Similarly, the package priced IRs 2,835 per person includes accommodation in air conditioned room (twin-sharing), breakfast, airport transfer and one-and-half-day sight-seeing. The airline has also designed packages for group travelers (6-10 persons), which is cheaper than regular packages.
Buddha Air has fixed the one way fare to Vanarasi from Kathmandu at Rs 5,030. The one-hour flight to Vanarasi will leave Tribhuwan International Airport at 3 pm on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
