BRIEF NEWS: PM arranges Sunanda's education

NEPALGUNJ, Dec 20: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has made arrangements for college education for Sunanda Dwivedi, elder sister of 15-year-old Kapil, who was murdered after an abduction on September 30.



PM Nepal, who had visited the Dwivedis following the gruesome murder, had promised to make arrangements for Sunanda to pursue her Bachelor´s level education in Kathmandu, but the family had been losing hope after not hearing anything more in that regard for more than two months. [break]



Press advisor to the PM, Bishnu Rijal, said arrangements for her studies at Golden Gate College, Kathmandu have been made and a place for her to stay is being explored.



Sunanda´s father said she will be sent to Kathmandu as soon as arrangements for her accommodation are made.



The Dwivedis had expressed fears about continuing their daughter´s education in Nepalgunj following Kapil´s murder.



Tusker kills Bhutanese refugee



JHAPA: A Bhutanese refugee was trampled to death by a wild elephant Monday afternoon. San Maya Magar, 55, of the Bhutanese refugee camp in Beldangi-2, Damak was killed by the tusker when she went to the nearby jungle to fetch firewood at around one in the afternoon.
