The group, which has been demanding an autonomous state comprising of Sankhuwasabha, Dhankuta, Tehrathum, Panchthar, Ilam, Jhapa, Morang, Taplegunj and Sunsari districts, has been banned since 2065 BS.
The police said they were unaware of the meetings even when the group organized mass gathering in front of Chimeki Police Post in Phidim with the group´s flags wavering around the meeting areas. The Manch also organized meetings at Ganatantra Chowk, Hospital Mode and Sumhathlung temple corner.
CDO Dulluraj Basnet said he is also unaware of the meetings.
