Banda enforcers have descended on the road and assembled in groups at major junctures to ensure that no vehicles ply the streets. There have been reports of some incidents of vandalism outside of the valley. Academic institutions, industries and marketplaces have remained closed due to the shutdown. [break]
Banda enforcers vandalized a bus (Lu 1 3238) and a truck (Na 4 Kha 8273) heading to Dang from the east at Katuwa Khola section of Lamahi-Ghorahi road in Dang this morning. Similarly, cadres of CPN-Maoist have attacked a private car (Ba 5 82 38) at Harmatarichwok near the Gorkha district headquarters.

The state-owned news agency, RSS reported that the strike has crippled normal life in districts, including Morang, Chitwan, Makawanpur and Rasuwa.
