KATHMANDU, Feb 9: The Election Commission (EC) has completed printing ballot papers for 88 constituencies in 37 districts ahead of the House of Representatives (HoR) election scheduled for March 5.
According to EC Assistant Spokesperson Kul Bahadur GC, a total of 10,963,000 ballot papers had been printed as of Sunday.

Ballot printing has been completed for districts including Dolpa, Mugu, Jumla, Kalikot, Humla, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Rukum (West), Salyan, Surkhet, Bajura, Achham, Bajhang, Doti, Dadeldhura, Darchula, Baitadi, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Panchthar, Ilam, Terhathum, Bhojpur, Okhaldhunga, Sunsari, Taplejung, Sankhuwasabha, Solukhumbu, Khotang, Dhankuta, Baglung, Gulmi, Jhapa, Gorkha, Myagdi, Parbat and Bardaghat Susta West of Nawalparasi.
The EC said the ballot papers have been packed and are ready for dispatch.
Printing of ballots for both the first-past-the-post (FPTP) and proportional representation (PR) systems began on January 6 at the Janak Education Materials Centre Limited in Sanothimi. In the first phase, 1,098,200 sample ballot papers were printed and sent to districts.
Similarly, printing of PR ballots started on January 10 and concluded on January 27, with 20,830,000 ballot papers printed. The EC said these ballots have been verified, packed and kept ready for transportation.
