Badrudin Ansari leads on day I

KATHMANDU, Dec 8: Badrudin Ansari of Banke leads the standings in men's 10m rifle at the end of the day first in the Shooting Selection for the 12th South Asian Games to be held in India on February 6-16 next year.

Badrudin collected 552 out of 600 points on Tuesday at the shooting range of Satdobato, Lalitpur.Kuber KC of Tribhuvan Army Club collected 548 points to be in the second position and Suman Tuladhar of Kathmandu is in the third position with 539 points.

Meanwhile, Deepak Sanjel of Army is leading the men's 10m air rifle as he collected 525 points. Similarly, Ankit Varma (516 points) and Navaraj Basnet (506 points) of Rupandehi are in second and third positions.

Nepal Shooting Association is holding the selection tournament with two events for both men and women. Top three players in all sections will be selected for the SAG. The selection tournament will conclude on Thursday.
