Age-group national chess championship begins

LALITPUR, May 11: Young chess sensation Nabin Jaiswal won both the matches of the day in the first U-15 and U-19 National Chess Tournament that kicked off on Monday at the staff College, Jawalakhel. [break]



In the U-15 category, Nabin Jaiswal, Subha Kalyan Shrestha, Deep Mukhiya, Raj Prajapati, Anil Silpakar and Bijayman Thaiba won both the matches of the day to stay atop the standings with two points.

In U-19 category, Prasanta Vasima, Prakash Nepal, Madan Krishna Kayastha and Nikesh Duwal are jointly on the top spots with two points after winning both the matches. Likewise, Rupsen Jaiswal and Rabi Sunwar are on the second place with 1.5 points.
