I was at the ticket counter, from the word go (laughs), I bought the tickets as soon as they went out for sale. It is the first international concert in Nepal and that too Bryan Adams, there was no way I was missing this event!
This is definitely a positive sign for other international acts hitting the stage here in Nepal, kudos to the organizers. Events as such can only help Nepal get a prominent place in the world music map.
I grew up listening to him; his voice is one of a kind. My favorite Bryan Adams song is “Have You Ever Really Loved a woman.” Everything about this song is good, be the words or the melody. And I am hoping he performs this song.

I’ll be honest, I’m a little nervous about the concert, considering it’s the first time an event of such scale is being held in Nepal. But am I thrilled? Oh, yes! (Laughs)
It was surreal when I first held the tickets in my hand.
As a singer, I’m really excited about the opportunities such events open up for local musicians. You get to interact with international
artists and if you’re lucky, you can open for them and who knows, even collaborate with them.
“Here I Am” is my personal favorite. I think he will perform this song, and I’ll be one happy girl (fingers crossed).
As for the preparations, I’m going very light. No bags, no heels, loads of sunscreen, sunglasses.
If I were to imagine anyone else performing in Nepal, I’m wishing upon Norah Jones serenading the Kathmandu crowd.
Dr Madhurima Bhadra
I’m traveling all the way from Damak on Friday just to catch Bryan Adams live. I can’t wait to be a part of this historical event.
Events like such will definitely paint a positive image of Nepal to the world. Hey, if Bryan Adams can come to Nepal and perform, you sure can come and have a good time here.
“Summer of ’69,” makes me nostalgic every time I hit the play button; and I am looking forward to singing along to that tune on the D-Day. Another song that I really love is “Have you Ever Really Loved a Woman.” For me, it’s all about the lyrics. And at the risk of sounding overtly sentimental or sappy (laughs), any woman would want a man to serenade her with such words.

It’s the first concert of international stature in Nepal: ambitious and grand. How can I miss such a historic event? I’ll definitely be there at the Dashrath Stadium on Feb 19.
“Have you Ever Really Loved a Woman” is my personal favorite. It’s a perfect amalgamation of music and lyrics.
Few rotten eggs might spoil the basket, but I’m sure everything will turn out just fine.
Hats off to the organizers; it’s about time we show the world that our nation is getting back to normalcy and the situation here is not as volatile as people might think.
Bryan Adams is coming to Nepal, surely something must be right!
Events like this can open possibilities for other international gigs. Of my wildest dream, I’d hope to see Metallica and Pink Floyd in Kathmandu. That’ll be awesome.
