"Abducted man" in police custody

DHANGADHI, Sept 21: It has been revealed that businessman Bishnu Kunwar, who was earlier said to have been kidnapped by an unknown armed group from Attariya of Kailali district, was taken away from a special team of Baidyanath brigade of Armed Police Force (APF).



The APF has confirmed that Kunwar was arrested on suspicion of masterminding a yarchagumba robbery. An armed group had looted yarchagumba, a herb prized for its aphrodisiac properties, from a passenger bus two weeks ago. He was later handed over to the district police office for investigation.



Senior Superintendent of Police Jit Bahadur Pun claimed that based on the information from Kunwar police have tracked a big criminal group. He claimed that the group has a big network and all its members will be arrested.
