5 Ritchter quake shakes west Nepal

KATHMANDU, April 21: An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale and next moderate quake jolted Jajrkot twice today evening.

With the epicenter in Bhime VDC in the northern part of Jajarkot district, the first earthquakes occurred at 7:47 PM while the second one hit the district after an interval of 30 minutes, according to Lok Bijay Adhikari, Chief of the National Seismological Centre.


The damages caused by the earthquakes are yet to be ascertained, Chief Adhikari said. RSS
