RUKUM WEST, March 2: A total of 30,831 beneficiaries in Rukum West, which was damaged by the Jajarkot earthquake on November 3, have received the first installment amount so far.
For the construction of temporary housing, 30,831 beneficiaries of all six municipalities of the district have received funds at the rate of Rs 25,000 for the first installment. Assistant Chief District Officer Prabesh Badhuwal said that the maximum number of beneficiaries was 9,732 in Athabiskot Municipality and the least was 1,660 beneficiaries in Musikot Municipality.

According to him, 5,804 beneficiaries in Sanibheri Rural Municipality, 3,747 beneficiaries in Triveni Rural Municipality, 6,269 beneficiaries in Chaurjahari Municipality and 2,641 beneficiaries in Banfikot Rural Municipality have received the first installment to build temporary housing.
Assistant CDO Badhuwal said that an amount of Rs 771.025 million \has been provided to the beneficiaries at the rate of Rs 25,000 so far in all the six local levels. According to him, Rs 799.95 million has been transferred from the District Disaster Management Fund to the Local Disaster Risk Reduction Fund for 31,962 beneficiaries.
So far, 28,334 temporary housing units have been completed in the district, while 3,446 are under construction, said Assistant CDO Badhuwal. According to the district administration office, 1,131 beneficiaries identified in the district are yet to receive the first installment.
