According to police, the accident took place when the jeep (Ga 1 Ja 4659) en route to Walling from Kuwakot went out of control due to overload and fell 100 meters down the road. [break]
The deceased have been identified as Tulsiram Upadhyaya (55) of Kuwakot-3, Udaya Bahadur Sinjali (38) of Kuwakot-5, Laxmi Thapa (15) of Kuwakot-1 and 60-year old mother of Shovakanta Neupane of Kuwakot-3, Rita Dhungana of Kaberebhanjyang-4, jeep helper Binod Gurung of Kaberbhjyang-8, driver Nirmal Gurung and Phulmaya Shrestha (40) of Kuwakot-1, according to police.
Among the injured, four critically injured are being treated at Western Zone Regional Hospital, Pokhara. Other injured were returned home after treatment at Primary Health Center, Waling.
