Five killed in jeep accident in Syangja

POKHARA, April  17: As many as five people were killed in a jeep accident at Waling Municipality-12 on Sunday. The jeep (Ga 1 Ja 7399) that met with the accident was going to Waling of Syangja district. 

According to the Syangja Police Office, five persons, including a child, were killed in the accident. While four died on the spot, one critically injured died in the course of treatment, police said. The deceased have not been identified yet.

As many as 11 people were traveling in the jeep, police said. Six of them are receiving treatment at Gandaki Medical College in Pokhara. The jeep had fallen almost 200 meters below the roadway. Police say that the reason for the accident is still unknown.
