4 injured in clash with dacoits

MAHOTTARI, Aug 13: Four persons including a woman were injured when they clashed with a group of around 15-20 dacoits at Aakarihya of Mahottari district on Thursday night.



Those injured are Shebu Mandal, Bijay Lal Das, Jugeshwori Khatwa and his 35-year-old wife.[break]



Mandal who sustained injuries in various parts of body with sharp weapon is reported to be critical. He is receiving treatment at Janakpur Zonal Hospital while the others are being treated at the local health post.



Meanwhile, the dacoits robbed around six houses and made off with cash Rs 500,000 and jewellery, Mahottari Superintendent of Police Rameshwor Prasad Yadav informed.
