KATHMANDU, July 11: The 33-party front led by the CPN-Maoist on Saturday torched the draft of the new constitution after a protest rally at Ratnapark. The protest rally went to the thoroughfares before converging into a corner meeting.

CPN-Maoist valley in charge Dinesh Sharma said the draft constitution was torn apart as it was being brought against the people's aspiration. He added that there were no alternatives to agitation against the ill efforts to deprive backward classes and communities of their rights.

Sharma was of the opinion that the 16-point agreement reached among the four major political parties had blocked a general wave of transformation in the country. He tore apart the draft constitution while activists torched it following the corner gathering. RSS
