213 combatants selected for integration from 7th div

DHADING, Sept. 17: A total of 213 former PLA combatants have been selected for the final integration process into the Nepal Army (NA) from the seventh division of PLA based at Talabanda in Kailali district.



According to Gopal Singh Bohara, secretariat member at the Army Integration Special Committee, 213 ex-PLA combatants, out of 314, were selected in the final process of the integration.



Likewise, 85 former Maoist combatants have opted for voluntary retirement option. Those opting for voluntary retirement were provided Rs 500,000 to 800,000 depending on their posts.



However, Commander Santu Darai and Vice-Commander Birendra Budha did not participate in the selection process as they are in the capital, Bohara said.
