2,000 plus LP gas bullets imported in last 45 days from Birgunj customs point

Amid a shortage of cooking gas in the market in the wake of the evolving situation in West Asia, a total of 2,136 LP gas bullets were imported to Nepal via the Birgunj customs point in the past one and a half months.

BIRGUNJ, March 29: Amid a shortage of cooking gas in the market in the wake of the evolving situation in West Asia, a total of 2,136 LP gas bullets were imported to Nepal via the Birgunj customs point in the past one and a half months.



The Birgunj Customs Office said altogether 1,560 LP gas bullets were imported to the country in the month of Falgun.

"A total of 1,403 LP gas bullets were imported in the month of Magh. And, 576 gas bullets have been imported as of Friday in the month of Chaitra," the Office stated. 


In the first seven months of the current fiscal year, LP gas worth Rs 20.85 billion was imported in the country via the Birgunj customs point. During the review period of the last fiscal year, LP gas worth Rs 24.6 billion was imported.
