The incident took place this morning after cadres affiliated to MPRF-D candidate in Sarlahi-5 Rameshwor Raya, removed the pamphlets of TMDP candidate Jangi Lal Raya that was chipped at the wall of latter’s house.[break]
They attacked each other with domestic weapons.
Among the injured, five persons affiliated to MPRF-D are said to be in critical condition. They have been identified as Abdulla Mahammud, Mahammud Firoj, Khusaid Alam, Sakila Khatun and Mahammud Kalam. The have been sent to Birgunj for further treatment.
Twelve of injured are cadres of TMDP. They have been discharged from the hospital.
According to SP Rabindra Bahadur Dhanuk at district police office, an investigation is underway on the incident. He, however, clarified that the clash occurred among the cadres of Sadbhawana Party, TMDP and MPRF-D.
