Fourteen passengers were injured when a bus (Ba 1 Kha 8856) heading to Panauti from Kathmandu overturned in a field in front of the IT Park in Banepa.
The injured, most of whom were returning to Panauti from Banepa, are being treated at Scheer Memorial Hospital.
The driver´s helper was driving the bus. The bus lost control upon reaching the turn in front of the IT Park and met with the accident, Prakash Khatri, one of the injured passengers, said.
Likewise, two persons were seriously injured when a Kathmandu-bound Pulsar motorcycle (Ba 17 Pa 7907) collided with a Mahindra jeep (Ba 5 Cha 34) coming from the opposite direction near Bansghari in Dhulikhel on Friday.
The injured are motorcycle driver Dinesh Karki, 23, of Jafe VDC-7, Dolakha and pillion rider Ramesh Karki, Dinesh´s elder brother. Dinesh, who received severe injuries to his head, has been sent to Kathmandu for further treatment, while Ramesh is undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hopsital.
