PYUTHAN, March 27: At least 16 people were injured after a mini bus met with an accident in Pyuthan on Friday morning.
The incident occurred at Aahalkhola in Jhimruk Rural Municipality–3 along the Aahalkhola–Chisapani section at around 7:20 am. The ‘on test’ Jumbo Traveller mini bus, operated by Swargadwari Transport Pvt. Ltd., was en route from Bandikot in Pyuthan to Butwal in Rupandehi when it crashed.
According to police, all injured passengers have been taken to Pyuthan Hospital and Nimtara Polyclinic for treatment.

Among the injured, 51-year-old Bimala Bista of Pyuthan Municipality–2, Kwadi, sustained a head injury and has been referred to Butwal for further treatment. The condition of the other injured is reported to be normal.
The injured include Kesar Sejuwal and Padma Sejuwal of Lamahi, Dang; Prakash MC, Sushant MC and Kamala MC of Jhimruk–2, Bandikot; Kamala KC, Rupesh Pokhrel, Sushila Pokhrel, Hira GC, Bishal Pokhrel, Pratap MC, Parbat Khatri, Bindos KC, Ramita KC and Prayas KC.
Police said most of them suffered minor injuries to the head, limbs, and other parts of the body. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
