The weekends, and sometimes even the weekdays, are just not the same without a nice beverage. However, why settle for a pint alone when there are places where we can enjoy drinks along with some great ambience, food, and music? The Week complies a list of 10 places considered to be some of the best options to have a drink (or four).


Irish Pub

Great for pre-drinks before a night out, Irish pub offers everything that you would expect from a pub. They serve light snacks as well as a never-ending stock of beer. Standing tall on the third floor of the Times Square Mall at Durbar Marg, it's hard to miss Jujuba Lounge's neon sign. In case the weekend has already been booked with family but you still want to enjoy some good drinks then this would be the spot you would want to head to. Along with family friendly environment and a rich drinks menu, their house band also offers live music every single day.

Sam's Bar

Sam's bar serves, what is perhaps, the best Mai Tai cocktail in town. This is just one of those places where you automatically find yourself unwinding. They are famous for concocting almost any drink you want. Still if cocktails aren't your thing, a cold beer is always at hand. The roof top terrace, laid back setting, live music, and the constant hum of conversation all make for a wonderful experience.

Tamarind Restro and Bar

At Tamarind you always have options: Do you wish to wine and dine in their quiet and nicely air conditioned rooms or are you in a mood to crack open a drink and have some fun under the fairy lights outside? Their drinks menu is extensive and they have some really interesting cocktails to offer too.

Victory Lounge

The hot new spot in town, Victory Lounge atop the Planet Sports Building is already attracting many of the 'it' crowd. The joint has been giving many a reason to dance their Friday nights away. What help enhance the loud and energetic vibe of the place are the drinks. And they are certainly generous with the servings.

Buddha Bar

If you like your drinks with sheesha then you'd be hard pressed to find a place that offers one at a more affordable price than Buddha Bar. It's eclectic décor makes the place very vibrant and the bartenders too are very good at their jobs; making you feel welcome as well as preparing fantastic drinks.

Bawarchi: The Restro Bar

Bawarchi is a great option for days when drinks aren't the only priority. Here along with your choice of drinks, you can also savor some succulent tandoor, traditionally prepared in a tandoor oven to bring alive the dishes rustic flavors. The restaurant also draws inspiration from the best food traditions from across India, specializing in Kebab.

Simply put this is a vegetarian's and vegan's haven. But not only can they spoil you silly with their vast selection of veggie cuisines (and organic ice cream), they also carter to your drink needs. New Orleans Café

If you wish to treat yourself after a long day of hard work, New Orleans Café would be a safe bet. You can lounge there and treat yourself to a sumptuous dinner (their steaks are famous) as well as a glass of great wine.
