Bardaghat-Daunne road section to remain closed throughout Tuesday night

KATHMANDU, Oct 1: The Bardaghat-Daunne road section which is operational only one-way will be fully closed on Tuesday night.

The District Administration Office Nawalparasi published a notice on Tuesday and said that this section will be completely closed from October 1 (10PM) to October 2 (5 AM). The retaining wall has collapsed on the highway near Daunne jungle at Khursani Khola of Bardaghat Municipality-4.

Approximately 400 meters of the road has been damaged, and a high-tension electricity transmission tower has also collapsed.

The road, which was blocked since Monday evening, was reopened for one-way traffic by 8:45 AM on Tuesday after overnight work.

The administration said that the road will be closed overnight on Tuesday in order to facilitate repairs and ensure smooth transportation. According to the administration, all vehicles except for essential ones will be prohibited from traveling between Bardghat market and Daunne market.
