Last year, I met my friend who was working in a bank. Some months back, I met him again at a party and asked him whether he was working in the same bank. He said that he had already left that bank and was now working as the manager of another bank. “One cannot make a professional growth working in the same institution for long time. For professional diversity, you should be ready for change,” he said.

School level education is becoming a burden for the state—whether in developed country like the US or the poor country like Nepal. In the US, education secretary has been criticized for not doing enough for upkeep of community schools. In India, school-level education and management of teachers are becoming burdensome tasks for different states. Teachers are seen as staging protests frequently.

As the learned Dr Faustus had to make a deal with evil Mephistopheles who tempted him to exchange his soul for carnal desires, we modern human beings, are exchanging clean environment with the quest for development and industrialization.
