One Nepali migrant was injured in the earthquake while some restaurants run by Nepalis have suffered damages.
According to NRN Japan Chairman Sudan Thapa, all the Nepalis residing in Japan are safe. A special team had been deployed to the Island of Kyushu immediately after the 6.5-magnitude earthquake hit Japan.
According to the NRN statistics, over 220 Nepali migrants have been residing in Kyushu Island, epicenter of the quake.
Nepali migrants are engaged in various occupations including restaurants in quake-hit Island Kyushu. Some restaurants run by Nepalis have been affected, said he.
"Some restaurants operated by Nepalis have suffered damages," Chairman Thapa told Republica Online, adding, "one Nepali migrant has been injured in the disaster. She sustained minor injuries."
