‘Ramen restaurants’ introduced in Kathmandu

Hokkaido Ramen House has introduced authentic Ramen cuisine restaurants in the city. The company has established two ramen restaurants, with Japanese technology, in Kathmandu, one at Park Village Resort Budhanilkantha, and next one in Kathmandu Guest House in Thamel.

Hokkaido Ramen House has introduced authentic Ramen cuisine restaurants in the city. The company has established two ramen restaurants, with Japanese technology, in Kathmandu, one at Park Village Resort Budhanilkantha, and next one in Kathmandu Guest House in Thamel. Chairperson of Hokkaido Nepal Business Group, Arjun Adhikari informed that the company was trying to introduce the chain restaurants for more than three years in Nepal.


Adhikari introduced Nepali cuisines while working in Japanese restaurants  for 17 years. Hokkaido Nepal Business Group is established by the collaboration of 17 Japanese entrepreneurs. He attributed investors and all workers for establishing Hokkaido Nepal Business Group. He said, “Hokkaido Ramen Restaurant is made with Japanese technology, and criteria, which aims to create employment opportunities for Nepali youngsters.”

Though ramen looks like Thukpa, recipe and taste of this dish is totally different. Ramen is an authentic Japanese cuisine.


Apart from Ramen, these restaurants serve other 30 Japanese cuisines.  According to the chairperson Adhikari, the company aims to establish 7 to 10 Japanese restaurant all across the county.
