Archers selected for Asian Grand Prix

KATHMANDU, Aug 23: Nepal Archery Association (NAA) named three players for the Fourth Asian Grand Prix Archery Championship on Sunday. Prem Prasad Pun, Asim Sherchan and Jeet Ghale will represent Nepal in the event scheduled from September 16 to 19 in Kolkata, India.[break]



According to NAA president Laxman Kumar Shrestha, Prem is ranked 295 and Asim 345 in World Archery Ranking.



Ramesh Bhattachan is selected as an alternative player from a qualifying event held on Saturday.



Nepali players will compete in the 70m event in the Asian event.
