PM’s statement misquoted: civil society leaders

KATHMANDU, March 30: Civil society leaders who met the Prime Minister to draw his attention towards the demands raised by Dr Govinda KC have refuted a news report carried by a daily about the meeting and the PM's statement, describing it as the use of 'irresponsible words and sentence'.

In a statement civil society leaders Dr Kedar Narsingh KC, Subodh Raj Pyakurel, Kapil Shrestha, Kanakmani Dixit and Charan Prasain have expressed sadness over the publication of the news report over such a sensitive issue, which was done without actually verifying the facts and thereby misquoting the PM's statement.They have also urged the newspaper concerned to correct it.
