CPN-Maoist begins election boycott drive

KATHMANDU, July 25: CPN-Maoist General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa has said that they are ready to sit for dialogue without any condition if the government truly wanted to make peaceful agreement.



Addressing the election boycott assembly organized here on Thursday by the CPN-Maoist at Shanti Batika in Ratna Park, he said it was a conspiracy to call for dialogue with condition. [break]



There should be unconditional dialogue to explore solution to problems politically, he said.



He also announced that the movement of national independence would be taken down to the grassroots level.



The election boycott campaign that began in 75 districts across the country would be taken to all the electoral constituencies, VDCs and polling booths, said the party source.
