CA election must be held on stipulated date: NC prez

KATHMANDU, July 20: Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala has said that the election to Constituent Assembly must be held on the stipulated date to free the country from political crisis.



"Now, none can foil election," he said while addressing a programme organized by Lamjung Constituency No. 1 of the party in the capital on Saturday. [break]



At the programme organized under the slogan-´Let´s Go to District for CA Elections,´ President Koirala said even the international community was pressing for holding the CA elections.



Corruption was rife in the local bodies for not having election for long, he said, adding that the people were spirited for holding the election. On the occasion, party Spokesperson, Dilendra Prasad Badu, said even the disgruntling CPN-Maoist would finally embrace the CA election.
