A dozen of persons, including three security personnel, sustained injuries as police resorted to baton charge to protect Dr Singh´s house. They are undergoing treatment at Lumbini Zonal Hospital (LZH). Police arrested a dozen of protestors to take the situation under control.

Suvash, who had been doing odd jobs at Dr Singh´s house since last year, was found hanging on Sunday evening. His parents have accused Dr Singh´s family of torturing and killing their. Suvash´s mother Bishnu said Dr Singh´s family had tortured her son in the past as well.

Suvash´s family has demanded that the local administration conduct a free and fair investigation into the death and take action against all those found guilty. However, Dr Singh´s family has shrugged off the accusations.

Dr Singh´s wife Pabina said they had treated Suvash as their own ´son´. According to Pabina, Suvash, who was watching television till 4 pm on Sunday, had all of a sudden gone out. He was found hanging by Pabina´s son Abash by 5 pm in another room.

"We immediately brought him down and rushed to hospital with little hope that he could survive," she told myrepublica.com. "Perhaps, it was our mistake." Suvash was, according to Pabina, moody.

"He often looked frightened as he failed to do his homework," said Suvash´s teacher Kamal Khanal. Suvash was a grade four student at Siddheshwar Secondary School.

Subash´s father Chandrika has filed a complaint at Area Police Office of Butwal demanding a fair probe into the death. However, he has not mentioned any one´s name as suspects in the complaint. Chandrika had been tilling Dr Singh´s land.

Police have taken Dr Singh under control for interrogation. Suvash´s body has been kept at the hospital. Police have decided to take Suvash´s body to Bhim Hospital in Bhairahawa for postmortem so as to avoid Dr Singh´s influence in possible manipulation of the postmortem report if the postmortem is carried out at Lumbini Zonal Hospital where he works.
