TANAHUN, Nov 24: Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Tanahun-1.
Poudel defeated his nearest rival CPN-UML's Ek Bahadur Rana by a margin of 5,388 votes. He got 25,318 votes while Rana received 19,925 votes.

Out of the total 66,584 votes cast in the constituency, altogether 4,000 were declared invalid, according to the Office of the Chief Returning Officer.
