KANCHANPUR, Sept 9: Wild elephants have destroyed paddy fields covering approximately 20 bighas of land in Garjmuni and Khajuwa, Shuklaphanta Municipality-5, Kanchanpur district.

KANCHANPUR, Oct 3: Residents of Shuklaphanta Municipality have been staying awake all night to chase away the herd of wild elephants. The elephants have entered from Shuklaphanta National Park and started eating rice and paddy and causing damage.
Solar fencing to stop elephants

JHAPA, Jan 12: A 37-kilometer long Solar-induced electric fencing has been completed to stop wild elephants from entering human settlements from the nearby Charkose jungle in south Jhapa. This is expected to benefit the locals in Kachankewal, Haldibari, Bahradashi and Bhadrapur.
